Equipment

  • Large wine glass
  • Cocktail jigger

Ingredients

  • fl. oz Limoncello liqueur
  • 2-3 fl. oz Prosecco or other sparkling wine
  • 4 fl. oz Club soda or sparkling water, flavored seltzer, etc

Instructions

  • Using a jigger or a measured shot glass, measure out the respective amounts of limoncello and prosecco and club soda.
  • In a large wine glass (or any glass), add ice cubes to the bottom.
  • Pour in limoncello, then prosecco.
  • Gently stir.
  • Add club soda to top it off. You may need to use more than the measured amount.
  • Add optional garnishes: a lemon wedge, a mint sprig, or some edible flowers!
  • Sip and enjoy!

Notes

  • Limoncello spritz is best served cold, so use ice cubes OR use frozen fruit, frozen lemon slices, or even frozen prosecco cubes!
  • Try to find a good quality limoncello, so that you get more of the citrus flavor, and less of the inherent bitterness! Ask for recommendations at your local wine/liquor store.
  • Any type of sparkling wine will suffice. Prosecco is traditional, but champagne or cava work great too. Keep in mind that some sparkling wines are sweeter and have different flavor profiles than others.
