- Blood Oranges - Use fresh oranges for this! It's hard to find blood orange juice anyways, so just go the fresh route.
- Gin - I love gin, but you could use vodka or tequila if you prefer.
- Simple Syrup - Use regular simple syrup or my Homemade Vanilla Syrup.
- Lemon Juice - Fresh squeezed is best and recommended.
- Sparkling Water - Plain, flavored, or even use champagne!

📋 How to make a Blood Orange Gin Cocktail
Step 1: Prepare Ingredients
Begin by juicing the blood oranges and the lemons. Measure the appropriate amount of liquids for all ingredients.
Step 2: Make the Cocktail
To a shaker, add a handful of ice. Then add the gin, simple syrup, lemon juice, and blood orange juice. Close the lid and shake for at least 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Pour contents into a chilled coupe glass and top with sparkling water or champagne. Garnish with a dried citrus slice and enjoy!

- Chill the glasses ahead of time by adding ice cubes to the glass along with cold water. Dump out when ready to add cocktail.
- I encourage juicing the blood oranges and lemons by hand, as fresh juice will always taste the best!
- Easily make simple syrup by simmering 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water until dissolved. You could also make a Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup.
